About the Team & How We Work

Solutions Engineers are integral to customer success, operating at the intersection of product, integrations, and customer operations. You will collaborate with Launch, Product, and Engineering teams to resolve technical roadblocks, design integration strategies, and guide customers through complex business system decisions. This role also involves supporting the sales process through technical discovery and demonstrating how Miter integrates into prospect tech stacks. It's a high-impact, high-visibility role for problem-solvers who enjoy building scalable solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose and resolve technical roadblocks during customer implementations, including configuration, integration, and workflow design.
• Partner with Launch Managers, Product, and Engineering to scope technical requirements, evaluate feasibility, and implement solutions.
• Support pre-sales by participating in technical discovery, evaluating integration needs, and delivering tailored demos.
• Build and maintain internal documentation on integration patterns, workflows, and configurations to scale knowledge.
• Develop repeatable approaches for common technical challenges to accelerate team progress.

What You’ll Need

• 2-3+ years in a customer-facing Solutions Engineer or technical implementation role.
• Experience with APIs and system integrations, including analyzing and designing data flows across platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for technical workflows and configurations, including interpreting API specs and documentation.
• Ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Launch teams.
• Calm under pressure, with a bias for practical, scalable solutions and comfort with ambiguity.
• Experience with construction industry software, accounting systems, or ERP integrations (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, Viewpoint) is a plus.

Hybrid vs. Remote Approach

Miter embraces a hybrid model for roles within commuting distance of our New York City or San Francisco offices (3 days in-office). For remote roles or those outside our office locations, there's no in-office requirement, though travel for onboarding and off-sites is expected.
