Hybrid Vs. Remote Approach

We believe that Miter’s magic originates from direct collaboration. We also champion work flexibility. For roles designated as hybrid, our policy entails three days per week in the office, fostering opportunities for connection, brainstorming, and strengthening relationships. If you reside within a reasonable commuting distance of our New York City or San Francisco offices, we expect adherence to our hybrid work model.

Conversely, for roles explicitly listed as remote or located in cities where Miter does not maintain an office, there is no requirement for a hybrid approach. However, all employees participate in a few company-wide and team-specific offsites annually, including onboarding events, which require travel.

About The Sales Development Representative Team & How We Work

As a Sales Development Representative at Miter, you will play a pivotal role in driving pipeline growth and achieving outbound sales success. You will be responsible for prospecting within a newly established geographic territory model, collaborating closely with Account Executives to implement a targeted and scalable outbound strategy specifically tailored for the construction industry.

This role offers a unique opportunity for creativity as you help shape and build a repeatable SDR playbook, designed to power a high-impact, data-driven sales engine. You will work in close partnership with sales, marketing, and leadership teams to test innovative ideas, refine messaging, and accelerate scalable revenue growth.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the first point of contact in the sales cycle—qualifying leads and proactively prospecting new customers.
  • Generate revenue opportunities through proactive outbound outreach across various channels (calls, emails, LinkedIn).
  • Respond swiftly to inbound leads and effectively convert expressed interest into a qualified pipeline.
  • Articulately communicate Miter’s value proposition and tangible business impact to prospects.
  • Efficiently manage prospect requests and accurately route them to the appropriate internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain ownership of your activity and pipeline metrics within Salesforce—including forecasting, tracking, and continuous refinement.
  • Continuously test, iterate, and enhance outbound campaigns, applying creativity backed by data-driven insights.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable, repeatable prospecting strategies as the team expands.

What You'll Need

  • Minimum of 6+ months of SDR or directly relevant sales experience preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills—demonstrating the ability to make an impact via email, phone, or LinkedIn.
  • A strong drive for building pipeline and proactively creating new opportunities, rather than solely reacting to inbound leads.
  • Highly competitive, goal-oriented, and exceptionally organized.
