About the Back End Developer Role
The organization is seeking Backend Integration Engineers to significantly contribute to the development and scaling of hotel supply integrations. This position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining API-based integrations between hotel partners and standardized internal platforms. You will be part of a globally distributed team, working collaboratively across various time zones.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust backend integrations for diverse hotel supply partners.
- Define clear APIs and seamlessly wire up integrations with external hotel systems.
- Integrate partner-specific solutions efficiently into standardized internal platforms.
- Collaborate effectively with a globally distributed engineering team, navigating different time zones.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and optimal performance of all integration services.
Requirements
- 5+ years of extensive backend engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency with Scala or comparable JVM-based backend systems.
- Proven background in API design and complex system integrations.
- Experience working effectively within distributed, cross-regional engineering teams.
- Familiarity with hotel, travel, or marketplace integrations is considered a strong advantage.
