Job Description Summary
HII Mission Technologies is seeking an Interior Communications Technician to support our customer at the Naval Support Facility Deveselu in Romania. This role involves a variety of assignments including analysis, design, integration, testing, installation, operation, product support, and maintenance of diverse communications systems. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive technical support, including technical evaluations, assessments, equipment functional checks, and technical assistance on communications systems.
- Perform troubleshooting, testing, analysis, and equipment repair, part installation, operation, and maintenance for various systems and equipment, including peripheral, interfaced, and support systems.
- Conduct maintenance, fault isolation, tests, and repairs on assigned equipment at the organizational level, utilizing reference documentation and Command-directed maintenance procedures.
- Support work package documentation for Gigabyte Ethernet Data Multiplex System (GEDMS), voice communications systems, and navigation systems.
- Execute fiber optic repair and perform video/display operations maintenance, including video interfaces to deckhouse and VLS module cameras.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience, or 0 years experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Client experience requirements: Between 6 to 15 years of relevant experience.
- Client education requirements: BA/BS degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a relevant field from an ABET accredited program (4 additional years of equivalent experience can substitute for a BA/BS).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Proven experience in fiber optic repair and video and display operations maintenance.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude.
