About the Computer Network Technician Role
The Computer Network Technician role at Mission Technologies, a division of HII, supports customer operations at the Naval Support Facility Deveselu in Romania. The position involves analysis, design, integration, testing, installation, operation, support, and maintenance of diverse AWS display/network systems and equipment.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Key duties include:
- Perform technical evaluations and equipment functional checks.
- Conduct troubleshooting, testing, and repair of network systems.
- Utilize the Operational Readiness Test System (ORTS) for fault isolation and maintenance.
- Install parts and support system operations and maintenance.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications
Candidates must have relevant education and experience: a BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with appropriate years of hands-on experience OR equivalent technical background. Must understand network security practices and have hands-on network troubleshooting skills. Preferred candidates will hold certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ and, ideally, possess an active Secret Security Clearance.
