Senior Project Manager

About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager at Mission, a CDW Company, you will play a crucial role within a multicultural team, focusing on delivering best-in-class project management for various cloud consulting engagements. This includes critical areas such as cloud transformation, migration, optimization, and configuration services. This position offers the flexibility of being 100% remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Govern project budgets, timelines, risks, assumptions, scope changes, issues, and dependencies, providing clear reports to clients and team members.
• Plan, schedule, document, and manage activities throughout cloud consulting engagements as a billable project manager.
• Lead consulting sessions with the Delivery team to identify challenges, technical needs, and specific customer requirements.
• Document and present comprehensive recommendations to customers, including senior leadership.
• Manage detailed project plans, validating requested deliverables, resource requirements, internal goals, client priorities, and milestones.
• Control and analyze project finances by ensuring funding is secured and documented, and creating cost estimates aligned with resource needs.
• Coordinate relationships with customers and vendors to proactively identify problems, create effective solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
• Manage scope changes and customer expectations through a structured change order process.
• Collaborate with Mission Cloud service delivery leadership and sales resources to accurately scope work efforts for project services.

Requirements

• Proven experience in project management, including direct management and interactions with customers.
• Experience in cloud consulting engagements, specifically with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud platforms.
• Ability to consult and manage projects on a time and material basis.
• Capability to manage third-party partners as an integral part of consulting engagements.
• Working knowledge of established project management frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices, including Change Management and Problem Management.
• Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Master, or similar certification.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification (required within 60 days of hire).
