About the role
Senior Solutions Architect, GenAI
As a Senior GenAI Solutions Architect, you will work with clients to build Generative AI applications on AWS. You will engage with clients to understand their requirements, future state needs, current environment, and technical challenges. Your role will involve designing and proposing solutions, demonstrating how projects will achieve client goals. You will lead a team of GenAI Engineers to implement projects and develop cutting-edge solutions.
This position is 100% remote.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead teams through the implementation of GenAI applications and solutions on AWS, including the use of agent frameworks, vector data stores, Sagemaker Jumpstart, and Amazon Bedrock.
- Facilitate design sessions with clients and the Mission Cloud team to create strategy, architecture, and implementation plans for GenAI projects.
- Build and implement technical roadmaps in collaboration with other Solution Architects and Project Managers, aligning with customer goals and objectives.
- Communicate proposed solutions to clients, translating technical elements into business language to highlight benefits.
- Develop strategic roadmaps and project plans based on customer goals.
- Collaborate with GenAI Engineers and Architects to break down complex development plans into LOE estimates, design documents, and project plans.
- Oversee the implementation of customer roadmaps in coordination with GenAI Engineers, maintaining Jira backlogs and ensuring timely, high-quality project completion.
- Document customer technical solutions in alignment with Mission standards.
- Serve as the technical liaison between customers and engineering teams, communicating complex technical concepts clearly.
- Work with Project Managers to set customer expectations, drive alignment, and coordinate timelines.
- Support pre-sales engineers in proposal design and positioning, defining approaches to prospect technical challenges and assisting with project estimations.
- Act as an escalation point for high-level technical and client issues.
- Mentor GenAI Engineers and junior consultants.
- Support process improvement initiatives for GenAI projects.
- Participate in recruiting efforts by serving on interview panels.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing and implementing creative GenAI and ML solutions using the latest AWS tools and frameworks.
- Experience designing vector data store solutions, including database selection, configuration, and schema setup.
- Strong Python experience.
- Experience with GenAI application architecture design.
- Experience working with data pipelines and handling unstructured, semi-structured data in data lake environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions like Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
- Ability to lead projects, train, and mentor junior team members.
- Ability to work with application and data security, encryption, PII/PSI legislation, and identity and access management across environments.
- AWS Certified AI Practitioner Certification (required within 6 months of hire).
- AWS Solution Architect - Associate Certification (required within 6 months of hire).
- Additional AWS Specialty or Professional Certification (required within 1 year of hire).

- Ability to architect solutions using the broader AWS ecosystem (VPC, IAM, EC2, Lambda).
- Web development experience, including designing and hosting web apps or working with React.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software development lifecycle tools and methodologies (version management with Git, CI/CD pipelines).
