Machine Learning Research Manager

About the Role

Miro, the online workspace for innovation used by 100M+ users, is seeking a Machine Learning Research Manager to lead the research team behind the "Intelligent Canvas." This role sits at the intersection of Vision, Language, and Graph Theory, working with spatial, unstructured, and human collaboration data.

What You'll Do

• Build and mentor a world-class applied research team.
• Define the research roadmap for the Intelligent Canvas.
• Conduct pioneering research on unique spatial datasets.
• Drive rapid Research-to-Product velocity with cutting edge models.
• Establish organizational processes for model governance and ethical AI practices.

What We're Looking For

• Technical leadership with experience managing Applied Science or ML Engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of Multimodal AI, GenAI, and Graph Neural Networks.
• A product-first mentality that values user impact over conventional metrics.
• Curiosity in solving ambiguous problems such as modeling collaboration.
• Strategic communication skills for executive alignment and vision sharing.

Education & Experience

Option A: PhD in Computer Science or related field plus 2+ years managing teams. Option B: Master’s degree or equivalent deep technical experience with 5+ years in ML and 2+ years in people management.
