Your primary mission will be to comprehensively manage sea import and/or export operations (FCL/LCL), ensuring compliance with deadlines, costs, and service quality. This role requires fluid coordination between clients, shipping lines, agents, and suppliers.

We emphasize not only what we do, but how we do it, delivering the best service through our core values: integrity and commitment, excellence, and responsibility.

Functions and Responsibilities

  • End-to-end management of maritime files (FCL/LCL) for import and/or export: opening, tracking, and closing.
  • Coordination with shipping lines, international agents, partner freight forwarders, terminals, and land transport to ensure windows, cut-offs, and deliveries.
  • Booking and planning: requesting and comparing routes/quotations, service selection, and booking confirmation.
  • Documentation and compliance: B/L (HBL/MBL), shipping instructions, VGM, DGD/IMDG (if applicable), packing list, certificates, ISF/AMS (according to destination), etc.
  • Proactive monitoring of operational milestones: ETD/ETA, transshipments, incidents, demurrages (demurrage/detention), and deviations.
  • Customer service: clear communication, status reports, resolution of inquiries and incidents with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Economic control of the file: cost review, provisions, invoicing, margins, and validation of supplier invoices.
  • Incident and claims management: coordination with insurance and partners; preparation of reports and corrective actions.
  • Use of ERP and internal tools: rigorous registration, traceability, data quality, and document archiving.
  • Continuous improvement: proposals to reduce costs, improve lead time, standardize processes, and elevate quality.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years in maritime operations within a Freight Forwarder/transitario.
  • Operational knowledge of maritime documentation (B/L, instructions, VGM, cut-offs) and coordination with shipping lines/agents.
  • Customer and problem-solving orientation, with capacity for prioritization and working under pressure.
  • Tools: Fluent handling of Outlook/Excel and experience with TMS/ERP (VisualTrans, Bfirst, or similar).
  • Languages: Intermediate-high English.

Valued Qualifications

  • Practical knowledge of Incoterms and associated cost management (THC, local charges, demurrage/detention).
  • Experience in customs (coordination with clearance) and/or associated land transport.
  • C1 English or another secondary language.
  • “Data-driven” profile: control of operational KPIs (OTD, incidents, costs, productivity).

Key Competencies

  • Organization and documentary rigor.
  • Clear and proactive communication.
  • Service orientation.
  • Operational negotiation.
  • Teamwork and transversal coordination.
