Position Summary

The Business Data Analyst will be instrumental in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to deliver actionable insights, thereby driving business management and improvement strategies. This role demands a robust analytical mindset, expertise in statistical methods, and the ability to grasp business objectives to effectively translate data into meaningful findings. The ideal candidate will possess experience with data visualization tools, a keen interest in acquiring and applying new skills to enhance business data analysis, and a passion for converting raw data into tangible business outcomes. This position reports to the Director of Operations Strategy within the Business team.

Position Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend business needs and convert them into precise data reporting requirements.
  • Document data sources, definitions, methodologies, and processes to ensure data integrity and facilitate efficient knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Collect, clean, and meticulously analyze data from diverse sources to pinpoint trends, patterns, and valuable insights.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards, reports, and visualizations utilizing tools such as PowerBI, Excel, or Canva.
  • Conduct in-depth data analyses and modeling to bolster business objectives and critical decision-making processes.
  • Ensure stringent compliance with data governance standards and privacy regulations.
  • Prepare impactful data visualizations and articulate findings through clear, concise reports, presentations, and infographics.
  • Perform regular data audits to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data, partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve identified discrepancies and data issues.
  • Commit to continuous learning, staying abreast of best practices, new skills, and advancements in AI within data analysis and business intelligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a closely related field. A Master's degree is highly advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record as a Business Data Analyst or in a similar analytical capacity.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, with a specific emphasis on Excel. SQL experience is a significant plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools, including PowerBI, Tableau, or comparable platforms. Familiarity with Canva for creating engaging infographics is a bonus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate and thorough assignment completion.
  • Effective time management capabilities, with the aptitude to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated respectful interactions with colleagues at all levels within MedInsight.
  • Upholding strict confidentiality of data and information is paramount.

Location

This role is ideally based in Seattle, Washington, though remote work within the United States will be thoughtfully considered. The anticipated application deadline for this position is April 30, 2026.

Compensation

The comprehensive salary range for this role spans $71,700 - $131,905. Specific salary ranges apply based on residency:

  • For candidates residing in Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia, the salary range is $82,455 - $131,905.
  • For all other locations, the salary range is $71,700 - $114,700.

Compensation will be determined by a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, and certifications.
