The Milan Art Institute is seeking a dedicated E-commerce Warehouse Assistant to support the Art Store Director in daily warehouse operations. This in-person, part-time position is ideal for someone residing in Sarasota, FL, who is passionate about art and committed to efficient logistics.

This role plays a key part in assisting with maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring timely, precise order fulfillment. Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for success. Beyond operations, this role contributes directly to our broader mission of supporting artists, creativity, and a community that believes in the impact of artistic expression.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Sort and store products efficiently.
• Pick, pack, and help prepare kits for shipment.
• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., hand trucks, storage racks) safely and efficiently.
• Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles as needed.
• Support other staff and management in daily operations as required.
• Assist with special events hosted by Milan Art Institute.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience is an advantage but not required.
• Basic computer skills for order processing and communication.
• Experience with Shopify and EasyShip or similar fulfillment platforms preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
• Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing priorities.

Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment with exposure to noise and physical activity (climate controlled).
• May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
