Overview

At Lactalis USA, part of Midwest Yogurt Inc, we are dedicated to fostering careers that grow into lifelong journeys. As the Plant Operations Manager, you will be an essential member of the plant leadership team, tasked with setting strategic direction and overseeing daily manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of Manufacturing Excellence and provide inspirational leadership.
  • Develop short and long-term strategies for increased productivity and organizational effectiveness.
  • Manage the Operations Department and influence key business decisions.
  • Ensure achievement of critical manufacturing success areas including Cost, Quality, Sanitation, and Safety.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control and Laboratory teams to maintain quality standards.
  • Coach, develop, and motivate team members to meet production and safety goals.
  • Maintain seamless communication between operations and support functions.
  • Create a supportive environment allowing employees to reach their full potential.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience required (7+ years preferred) in a manufacturing setting.
  • Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience with a capability to manage change.
  • Strong strategic planning and employee engagement skills.
  • Effective problem-solving, troubleshooting, and financial analytical skills.
