Student Finance Officer
MidKent College is seeking a Student Finance Officer who will provide professional and efficient front line financial customer services to staff, students, and visitors. The role includes receiving, processing, and reconciling cash or card payments for fees and additional costs.
This role is 37 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, and involves a variety of financial tasks as well as interpersonal communication in accordance with College policies, procedures and guidelines.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Process cash, cheque, and credit card payments for courses and trips.
- Receive and process student finance support applications, checking for completeness.
- Maintain financial records for audit purposes in line with College policies.
- Provide a welcoming, friendly service to students, parents, and staff.
- Act as an initial enquiry point and refer to appropriate departments.
- Support the Student Financial Support team with application processing and event participation.
- Liaise with external agencies such as Job Centre Plus and Social Services.
- Participate in open evenings, open days, and career fairs to promote financial support services.
- Undertake additional roles as a Fire Marshal and First Aider.
