Overview

The Web Developer Contract role provides services to Microsoft through Allegis Global Solutions. This contract position involves leveraging Power BI for data visualization and analysis in a remote work setting.

Summary

As a Web Developer Contract, you will create insightful reports and dashboards, ensure data integrity, and work closely with stakeholders to meet analytical needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards with star schema modeling and DAX.
  • Perform data querying using SQL, including complex functions and joins.
  • Design effective visualizations with bookmarks, drill-throughs, and tooltips.
  • Optimize performance with model size control, relationship management, and DAX Studio.
  • Implement security measures such as Row-Level Security and sensitivity labels.
  • Manage Power BI Service tasks including workspace, app publishing, and scheduled refreshes.
  • Conduct testing, documentation, and creation of user guides.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in data analytics or business intelligence roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, star schema modeling, and DAX functions.
  • Strong SQL skills and performance tuning expertise.
  • Experience in designing visualizations with a focus on user experience and accessibility.
  • Familiarity with security governance practices related to data privacy.

Additional Details

This is a remote 8-month contract with a 40-hour work week. Compensation is based on an hourly rate.
