Overview

Microsoft's Customer Experience and Success (CE&S) organization is on a mission to empower customers worldwide. As a Technical Support Engineer, you will own, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues using Microsoft MECM/SCCM and related technologies. This position is part of the Customer Service & Support (CSS) team, focused on delivering a seamless support experience while accelerating AI transformation.

Responsibilities

The role involves the following key responsibilities:

  • Own, investigate, and resolve customer technical issues using advanced troubleshooting tools.
  • Participate in building communities and share technical expertise across teams.
  • Develop proficiency through training and technical readiness initiatives.
  • Identify product defects and escalate issues for product improvement.

Qualifications & Core Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 2+ years of experience with cloud/infrastructure technologies and technical projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Microsoft Intune.
  • In-depth knowledge in WSUS, OSD task sequencing, application deployment, and Windows Server troubleshooting.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles and strong communication skills.
  • Language skills in Korean, Japanese or Chinese/Mandarin are preferred.
  • Australian Citizenship is preferred, with the role based in Sydney.

This role offers flexibility with up to 50% remote work.
