About the Role

The Technical Program Manager – Responsible AI at Microsoft is dedicated to making AI systems safe, secure, and trustworthy. In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams to shape Microsoft’s responsible AI system and generative AI products, bridging regulatory, customer, and engineering perspectives.

Team and Responsibilities

You will be a key sociotechnical translator on Microsoft’s Responsible AI (RAI) team within the CoreAI organization. Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing product releases for responsible AI risks and mitigation effectiveness.
• Collaborating with policy, legal, research, and engineering teams.
• Identifying and resolving gaps in use cases and assessments.
• Driving process improvements and team communication.
• Supporting roadmapping, metrics definition, and progress tracking.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and relevant experience in engineering, product management, technical program management, or data analysis, along with hands-on experience in managing cross-functional projects and familiarity with machine learning or AI.

Preferred qualifications include additional years of experience in both technical and program management roles, expertise in Responsible AI and AI safety, and some coding experience.
