Overview
Microsoft's Customer Experience and Success (CE&S) organization is on a mission to empower customers and accelerate AI transformation worldwide. The Customer Service & Support (CSS) team is looking for a Technical Support Engineer with a passion for delivering customer success. In this role, you will own, troubleshoot, and solve customer technical issues while collaborating across teams and leveraging advanced troubleshooting tools and practices.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve customer technical issues.
- Collaborate within and across teams to share knowledge.
- Build technical proficiency through training and readiness.
- Identify and escalate product defects contributing to improvements.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field with either 3+ years of relevant experience or 5+ years of experience in technical support, consulting, or IT. A CyberDefender Mindset is essential.
Preferred credentials include proficiency in Chinese, industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, etc.), customer service training, and experience with enterprise support for premier customers.
Practical knowledge in Messaging Protection is required, including experience with FP/RN, phishing, antimalware, Exchange/Office 365, and Microsoft Defender for Office 365 features.
Work Schedule & Security
This role offers flexible work arrangements with up to 100% remote work. Shifts vary based on business needs. Candidates must also meet Microsoft and government security screening requirements including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
