Overview
Microsoft Industry Solutions Delivery is a global organization that supports over 6,000 experts including strategic sellers, architects, engineers, and consultants. As a Solution Architect at Microsoft, you will translate client business requirements into large, complex technology solutions powered by Microsoft Cloud and AI.
Role Responsibilities
You will design and document architectures, work directly with customers and internal teams to drive technical governance, and shape project execution using methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, or Iterative approaches.
- Collaborate with Bid and Account teams to define solutions.
- Develop and document architecture and decision logs.
- Drive project governance, risk management, and deployment processes.
- Lead technical discussions and cost-based solution evaluations.
- Engage in pre-sales, delivery, and thought leadership initiatives.
Practice Development & Thought Leadership
Engage with internal and external communities, mentor colleagues, and contribute to intellectual property improvements. Represent Microsoft solutions externally to influence industry trends.
Qualifications
Prerequisites include a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus relevant experience in technology solutions, architecture, consulting, and domain expertise in Data and AI. Experience in project and people management is required. Note: Microsoft cannot sponsor a work visa for this role.
Work Arrangement
This role allows up to 50% remote work, though travel to customer sites is expected as needed.
