Job Description
Senior Video Producer
Microsoft’s Consumer Marketing Organization is looking for a Senior Video Producer to help evolve and scale our video production across some of the more influential technology brands in the world. From concept to publishing, you’ll own the full production process, with a focus on making powerful technology feel human, accessible, and exciting through longform storytelling.
In this role, you will produce serialized longform content for high-performing existing channels, leading the entire production process from scripting and filming through to post-production in collaboration with others. You will be responsible for both evolving and elevating established video formats, as well as developing new, scalable series that engage audiences. A key part of your work will involve translating complex technical topics into clear, compelling, and human-centered stories. You will partner closely with internal marketing, brand, and product teams to ensure that all creative output aligns with strategic goals. By leveraging performance insights and audience data, you will optimize content for greater reach, viewer retention, and sustained channel growth. Additionally, you will help define and shape the long-term creative and production roadmap for the global brand’s YouTube presence.

Responsibilities
- Produce longform content across existing, high-performing channels
- Lead end-to-end production: scripting, filming, producing, and post-production collaboration.
- Oversee the daily production workflows, manage complex delivery schedules, develop timelines, coordinating shoots, sourcing talent, securing approvals, and aligning compliance/legal requirements, and act as main point of content for creative production.
- Oversee production budget, manage budget, SOW, and production vendor bidding.
- Evolve and elevate established formats while creating new, scalable series.
- Translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling, human-centered stories.
- Partner closely with internal marketing, brand, and product teams to ensure creative and strategic alignment.
- Use performance insights and audience data to optimize for reach, retention, and long-term growth.
- Help shape the long-term creative roadmap for the global brand’s YouTube presence.
- Ensure all content adheres to Microsoft brand, accessibility, and legal standards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years experience in professional production environment (e.g., lighting, shooting, audio recording, web production, writing), post-production environment, or broadcasting (e.g., local news) OR equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of video production, filmmaking, or content creation experience with a strong portfolio (longform storytelling and YouTube experience preferred)
- Experience producing content for established channels and scaling ongoing content programs
- Proven ability to make technical or complex subjects engaging, accessible, and entertaining
- Understanding of YouTube storytelling, packaging, pacing, and audience behavior
- Organizational/project management skills and ability to manage multiple workflows
- A collaborative, proactive mindset and comfort working with large, cross-functional teams
Compensation
Video Production IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
