Senior Technical Support Engineer, Identity Management at Microsoft

The Customer Service & Support (CSS) team, powered by Microsoft's advanced AI technology, is dedicated to building trust and confidence by providing seamless, quick, and secure support. Responsibilities

  • Response and Resolution: Own, investigate, and resolve complex customer technical issues. Act as a trusted advisor, collaborating across teams and utilizing advanced troubleshooting tools and practices.
  • Readiness: Lead in community building with peers, sharing knowledge through readiness programs, technical coaching, and mentoring. Continuously deepen technical and professional proficiency to tackle complex customer challenges.
  • Product/Process Improvement: Engage with Microsoft Engineering/Supportability teams to identify potential product defects, contribute to automation techniques, and develop diagnostic tools to enhance Microsoft products.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting solutions within complex enterprise environments.
  • 5+ years of technical background, enterprise experience, and knowledge in one or more of the following technologies:
    • Identity Synchronization Technologies
    • Authentication and Authorization Management
    • Enterprise-level protocols (Kerberos, PKI, Oauth, SAML, WS-Fed, etc.)
    • Identity Management
    • Federation
    • Security Management
    • B2B, B2C
    • Role-based access control, Permissions management
    • MFA
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking). Proficiency test results (e.g., TOEFL, TOEIC, Cambridge English Exams) are a plus if English is not a native language.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in technology, support, training, consulting, architecting, development, network, data center operations, IT admin, or operations, or equivalent education in technologies such as:
    • Azure Active Directory
    • Identity Synchronization Technologies (Dirsync, AAD Connect, FIM, etc.)
    • Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) – or similar 3rd party experience (Shibboleth, CA SiteMinder, Okta, PING, etc.)
    • Identity and Access Management
    • Office 365 Identity Management
    • Cloud Domain Management
    • Cloud User Management and configuration
  • Flexibility to adapt working hours to business needs, including weekends and participation in on-call rotations.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
