Team and Mission

The Azure SQL DB Serverless & Resource Governance (RG) team builds and maintains Microsoft’s operational database systems. They focus on data-driven decisions, working with the SQL engine’s advanced internals, a global orchestration system managing millions of databases, and petabytes of telemetry data.

Responsibilities

  • Make data-driven decisions on database placement and load balancing.
  • Work with the SQL engine internals and global orchestration system.
  • Analyze petabytes of telemetry data to guide decisions.
