About the Role
Microsoft's Global Security Investigations team is seeking a Senior Investigator. This role is responsible for investigating physical security matters affecting employees, external staff, guests, and facilities worldwide. The candidate will be involved in identifying, intervening, and mitigating physical threats while upholding Microsoft’s ethical standards and policies.
Responsibilities
- Case Development and Preparation: Identifying high risk issues, organizing investigation plans, gathering complex data, and conducting interviews.
- Case Management: Overseeing supplier and stakeholder coordination, monitoring cases to resolution, and communicating progress through detailed reports.
- Professional Development: Presenting educational content, advising teams, and acting as a trusted leader in investigative practices.
- Other Duties: Engaging in on-call assignments, performing physical security tasks, and responding to emergency situations with rapid decision-making.
Qualifications
Minimum 4+ years in compliance, investigations, or related fields with a requirement for rotating on-call availability. Additional qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, with certifications like CTM, PCI or CPP being preferred. A valid U.S. passport for citizenship verification is required.
Compensation and Additional Details
The base pay ranges from USD 96,500 to 188,400 per year, with higher ranges in specific locations. Microsoft accepts applications until October 21st, 2025. Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and inclusion.
