Job Description

The Azure Silicon Cloud Hardware Infrastructure and Engineering (SCHIE) team is instrumental in delivering operational success for Azure and exceeding customer expectations. The HW Security Center of Excellence is responsible for the design and development of security solutions (silicon, firmware, hardware) for Server and Rack Infrastructure Firmware powering Microsoft's global Azure business.

Working closely with Microsoft product groups, industry partners and researchers, you will architect and develop security features and solutions to meet cloud service platform requirements while ensuring low total cost of ownership (TCO). The work environment encourages continuous learning, calculated risk taking, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects to understand security requirements for Azure infrastructure.
  • Design and implement security features for firmware and hardware systems.
  • Work on firmware development, SoC bring-up and integration of security primitives.
  • Debug, troubleshoot and optimize code to secure Azure hardware systems.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams and contribute innovative ideas.
