Job Description
Are you passionate about identifying and exploiting security vulnerabilities that impact millions of users? Join the Microsoft Red Team (MRT) organization to emulate real-world advanced persistent threats against Microsoft. As a Security Engineer - Red Team, you will identify and exploit vulnerabilities across application, cloud, network, hardware, and operational security domains.
You will collaborate with experienced red teamers, developers, and security personnel across multiple teams to:
- Discover and exploit vulnerabilities end-to-end.
- Execute realistic red team operations using current adversarial tactics.
- Advocate for security improvements through clear risk communication.
- Analyze data sources to detect potential weaknesses.
- Prototype tools to scale vulnerability discovery.
- Collaborate with Blue Teams to strengthen defenses and threat intelligence.
The role is embedded within Microsoft’s Cloud & AI organization, accelerating digital security across diverse environments.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience and at least 1 year of experience in a security or software engineering-related field.
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check and Penetration Testing IC2.
