Program Manager at Microsoft (Contract)
This contract Program Manager role provides services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. It's a pivotal position focused on driving successful adoption of large-scale programs and internal tools globally. The core emphasis is on the "people side of transformation," ensuring complex initiatives are met with clarity, readiness, and sustained engagement.
You will orchestrate stakeholder alignment, shape executive-ready communications, and translate strategic vision into actionable change plans. This role acts as a trusted advisor, bridging strategy, execution, and human impact. Daily tasks involve monitoring adoption signals and risks, partnering with cross-functional teams for synchronized messaging, equipping leaders with decision-ready insights, and continuously refining approaches based on feedback and metrics. Precision and impact are key, ensuring the right message reaches the right audience at the right time to drive meaningful organizational change.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage complex change management initiatives, developing detailed plans to achieve adoption goals and directing activity integration across multiple teams.
- Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to senior leadership and key stakeholders with clarity and impact.
- Analyze adoption signals, resource needs, and organizational readiness to plan and assess the feasibility of change initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including product, communications, and business groups to align on timing, messaging, and execution strategies.
- Develop and deliver executive-ready communications and presentations that translate complex strategies into actionable insights.
- Monitor and evaluate program metrics, risks, and feedback to continuously course-correct and optimize adoption outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing decision-ready insights and guidance throughout the change lifecycle.
- Align stakeholders across the organization to ensure coordinated execution and sustained engagement.
- Translate strategic objectives into detailed change management plans that address people impact and organizational readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational development, communications, or a related field.
- PROSCI certification strongly preferred.
- PMP certification strongly preferred.
- Not suitable for candidates with technical or engineering-focused change management backgrounds.
- 4+ years of proven change management expertise leading complex organizational transitions and driving sustained adoption.
- 4+ years of program management experience driving clarity, alignment, and execution across cross-functional initiatives.
- 4+ years of experience analyzing complex information and presenting to senior leadership with impact.
- Demonstrated success in stakeholder alignment and managing large-scale, people-focused change initiatives.
- Experience working in global organizations with diverse employee and vendor populations.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in managing complex, multi-faceted initiatives.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize competing demands.
- Expertise in analyzing complex data and translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Interpersonal skills that build trust and influence across all organizational levels.
- Knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices focused on people-side transformation.
- Proficiency with business software including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio.
