Job Description

Overview: Product Manager II, Gaming Division

Microsoft is seeking a Product Manager II to play a crucial role in ensuring SOX compliance for complex, high-impact systems and processes within its renowned Gaming Division. This hands-on position focuses on driving end-to-end compliance outcomes by collaborating closely with engineering, finance, compliance, and audit teams. You will be instrumental in ensuring SOX controls are meticulously designed, documented, operating effectively, and continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support SOX compliance activities for assigned complex areas and processes within the Gaming Division.
  • Assist in the design, documentation, and ongoing maintenance of SOX control narratives, detailed process flows, and all supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate all testing activities, including essential walkthroughs, evidence gathering, and providing prompt responses to audit inquiries.
  • Proactively track control issues and drive remediation efforts, partnering with engineering and business stakeholders for timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deeply understand system functionality and operational processes critical for financial reporting.
  • Translate intricate compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable product or engineering specifications.
  • Contribute significantly to program plans, establishing milestones, meticulous risk tracking, and comprehensive status reporting for all SOX-related initiatives.
  • Support the generation of SOX operational metrics and detailed reporting, including maintaining insightful dashboards.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with finance, internal audit, and external auditors.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years of experience in product/service/program management or software development, OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years of experience in product/service/program management or software development, OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience demonstrably improving product metrics (e.g., customer growth, usage expansion, churn reduction).
  • 2+ years of experience disrupting a market with a product, feature, or experience.
  • Direct experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, audit, regulatory compliance, and/or risk management.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional work streams and deliver results in structured, deadline-driven environments.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • 1+ years of experience with KQL or SQL.
  • 1+ years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, ADX Dashboards).
  • Direct exposure to financial reporting systems or regulated product environments.
  • Experience working effectively with technical systems and partnering closely with engineering teams.
