About The Team
Excel Chat builds Copilot-powered experiences that help people understand, transform, and act on data in Excel. The team collaborates across Excel engineering, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Office design/research, and identity/security/compliance to deliver experiences that are fast, trustworthy, and globally scalable. They value tight feedback loops from customer conversations to telemetry and experimentation.
About The Position
This role is for a Product Manager, responsible for bringing agentic, intelligent experiences to Excel Mobile. You will work with engineering, design, and partner teams to define scenarios, ship features, and iterate based on user feedback and data. The role requires combining clear product thinking with hands-on execution.
Responsibilities
- Understand Excel mobile users and their workflows.
- Gather customer feedback to guide product design.
- Collaborate with engineering and design for native mobile experiences.
- Drive delivery, task success, and iterative optimization.
- Utilize telemetry and experimentation to improve outcomes.
- Build trust with transparent previews and clear change communications.
- Work cross-functionally with multiple teams including security and compliance.
- Write crisp PRDs and align stakeholders effectively.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of product management or equivalent experience, a track record of shipping customer-facing features at scale, and the ability to work in a cross-functional setting. Candidates should have sound product judgment, execution bias, and be comfortable with data and telemetry.
Other Requirements
Candidates must meet Microsoft and government security screening requirements, including a Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Copilot/LLM-powered experiences, agentic workflows, and mobile product constraints is preferred. Familiarity with spreadsheet workflows and enterprise governance is an added advantage.
