Overview
Azure Core is at the forefront of innovation for Microsoft’s Cloud and Artificial Intelligence mission. The Principal Technical Program Manager will design developer tools and platforms to accelerate Azure Cloud expansion and support the future scale of Microsoft Cloud’s hardware fleet lifecycle. This role is central to Microsoft’s success by driving cross-functional teams and ensuring a measurable impact on Azure’s business and customer trust.
Responsibilities
- Secure executive support for key company-wide initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance to cross-divisional teams with software and hardware engineering.
- Oversee teams in risk identification, data-based mitigation and governance programs.
- Drive continuous improvements and validate use cases with performance metrics.
- Champion the adoption of generative AI tools in planning and product management.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s Degree with at least 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development, combined with 3+ years managing cross-functional projects and 1+ years of people management experience. Extensive experience with developer and orchestration platforms and large-scale distributed systems is needed.
Preferred: Advanced experience (12+ years total) including managing cross-functional teams, people management (4+ years) and working with graph databases and developer languages in cloud environments.
