Overview
Azure Core is at the forefront of innovation for Microsoft’s Cloud and Artificial Intelligence (AI) mission. This role is critical in designing and building foundational platforms, hardware, and services that power both current and next generation applications including Generative AI. As the Principal PM Manager, you will drive Change Management safety efforts, leading a team of technical product managers to accelerate safe maintenance updates across complex, large-scale services.
This position offers an opportunity to shape the future of cloud infrastructure at one of the world’s largest cloud providers. You will guide skilled cross-divisional teams in engineering, operations, and compliance, ensuring strategic alignment and fostering innovation including AI-powered capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Secure executive support and maintain stakeholder trust.
- Provide strategic guidance to cross-divisional teams for designing technical solutions.
- Oversee risk identification, mitigation, and success criteria definition.
- Drive product roadmap execution, project scheduling, staging, and release governance.
- Innovate product management practices and integrate generative AI tools.
- Monitor industry trends in cloud infrastructure and product management.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development (or equivalent), including at least 1 year of people management experience.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years experience, with 3+ years in people management, and demonstrated success taking products to market, improving product metrics, and disrupting markets.

Salary range in the U.S. varies by location. For example, roles in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area have higher ranges. Applications will remain open for a minimum of five days until filled.
