The Principal Engineer Manager - Azure Storage at Microsoft drives innovation and solves technical challenges at hyperscale. You will work on mission-critical storage systems, including the core Storage platform and Azure Disks, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability for some of the world’s most demanding AI workloads.
Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead a high-impact team focused on enhancing the storage control plane and disks platform.
- Drive AI-powered innovations for effective scaling of Azure Storage.
- Resolve system bottlenecks, optimize performance, and improve resiliency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support various Azure products.
- Guide teams, oversee design documents, and monitor system health for degradation or interruptions.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in large distributed systems and cloud architectures, hands-on coding experience in languages such as C#, as well as proven leadership experience. Advanced technical expertise and people management skills are essential.
