Overview
Join Microsoft’s US Public Sector Industries DIB Team—where mission meets innovation. This newly formed team consolidates, simplifies, and accelerates Microsoft’s presence across the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) landscape, serving over 100,000 organizations in manufacturing, aviation, cybersecurity and more, supporting Federal Agencies including the U.S. Department of Defense.
Role Summary
The Mission Account Executive drives program pursuits and growth activities within Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Americas. You will manage and expand strategic and major DIB accounts, foster new relationships, transform legacy operations, and support customers in their digital transformation journey.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute a cohesive, data-driven strategy to capture growth opportunities.
- Grow business through large programs and transitioned initiatives.
- Develop a deep understanding of client needs, roadmaps, and competitive landscapes.
- Establish effective relationships with DOD and Federal Agencies to drive business outcomes.
- Collaborate with Business Line Operations, Engineering teams and product development.
- Communicate Microsoft’s value and project its ethos in defense technology.
- Maintain a culture of trust, innovation, and customer focus.
- Deliver financial performance and market growth objectives.
Qualifications
Candidates must have extensive experience (10+ years in one scenario; alternative combinations available) driving digital transformation and engaging with mid-to-senior executives. Experience in closing large, complex deals is required along with a history of working with federal agencies and the Department of Defense.
Other Requirements
- Must pass Microsoft Cloud background screening.
- U.S. citizenship verification is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional experience with federal acquisition processes, leading cross-functional teams, and navigating complex technical and operational challenges is preferred. Candidates should be prepared to obtain and maintain a United States Security Clearance.
Compensation & Duration
Base pay ranges vary by location with a typical range from USD 133,000 to USD 222,700 per year, and higher ranges in the San Francisco Bay and New York City metropolitan areas. Applications are accepted until October 15, 2025.
