About the IT Operations Manager Role
As a Microsoft IT Operations Manager, you will lead and manage a team while overseeing datacenter site services and logistics for Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation. This role is integral to delivering core infrastructure for Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities
- Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in datacenter activities.
- Lead and manage high-performing individual contributors.
- Oversee datacenter site services, logistics, and deployments.
- Collaborate with internal groups to meet service levels.
- Analyze production operations and initiate corrective actions.
- Establish and manage quality standards for datacenter teams.
- Coach team members while embodying Microsoft values.
Qualifications
Required: High School or equivalent plus 3+ years of mission-critical service management experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role. Must be willing to work flexible hours as required. Preferred: Enterprise-level project management, audit and compliance knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a degree in a technical field.
