Overview
Join Microsoft’s Microsoft 365 Growth + Experiences FastTrack Data Engineering team, the architects behind MIDAS (Microsoft Intelligent Data Analytics System) — powering 30+ business applications, self-service analytics, and AI-driven insights. As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and optimize data solutions that accelerate customer success, enable M365 Copilot and E5 solution deployment, and support strategic decision-making across the Microsoft ecosystem.
Responsibilities
The role involves:
- Design & Develop: Build and optimize data pipelines, models, and storage solutions using SQL, Azure Synapse, Fabric, Data Factory, and GenAI.
- End-to-End Ownership: Integrate tasks into complete technical solutions for data ingestion, transformation, and provisioning.
- Collaboration: Work with PMs, software engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient data solutions.
- Quality & Testing: Implement unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and uphold security and privacy standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Optimize modules/features and resolve issues proactively.
- Documentation: Produce design documents, data models, and operational runbooks.
Qualifications
Required: Master’s/Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Math, Software/Computer Engineering or related field with relevant experience in data analytics, data science, or data engineering. Equivalent experience is welcomed.
Preferred: Additional years of experience, familiarity with data governance, Microsoft data stack (Azure, Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI, GenAI, Copilot), and knowledge of AI/ML data workflows.
Compensation & Duration
The typical base pay range in the U.S. is between USD 100,600 and 199,000 per year, with adjusted ranges for specific locations. This position is open for a minimum of 5 days until filled.
