Job Overview
Microsoft is seeking a Critical Environment Technician Manager to join the Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing people and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical facility equipment across Microsoft’s datacenters.
Responsibilities
- People Management: Model, coach, and care to drive team success.
- Equipment and Systems Operations: Oversee inspection, operational telemetry monitoring, incident response, and maintenance tracking.
- Equipment and Systems Maintenance: Guide maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and supervise third-party vendor activities.
- Critical Environment Culture: Enforce safety, security, and standard procedures for operational excellence.
- Other: Embody Microsoft’s culture and values.
Qualifications
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years in mission critical services with 1+ year people management experience. Applicants must be able to work 12-hour shifts and meet Microsoft’s security screening requirements.Preferred: 6+ years in mission critical services, additional technical trade certifications, and specialized experience in one technical field.
Locations & Work Arrangement
This role is located in one of the following U.S. cities: San Antonio, TX; Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Santa Clara, CA; Quincy, WA; Wenatchee, WA; or Cheyenne, WY. Relocation support is provided and the role requires candidates to reside within 50 miles of the chosen office. This is a fully on-site role.
