About the Role
The Commercial Executive role at Microsoft is a strategic, customer-facing position designed to drive commercial strategy and execution for the United States market. This role involves crafting and negotiating compliant and profitable commercial solutions for Banking, Capital Markets, and Insurance customers while collaborating across sales, partners, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Deal Making: Lead internal and external teams in optimizing deal customization through price and non-price concessions, managing commercial plans, and analyzing customer opportunities.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to commercial solutions policies and coach teams on compliance and risk management.
- Negotiation: Define and negotiate complex commercial terms, strategy planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Collaboration: Build trust with key customer stakeholders and drive outcomes by leveraging internal resources.
- Proactive Engagement: Align commercial strategy with customer needs and resolve cross-functional challenges.
- Other: Embody Microsoft’s culture and values.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years of sales and negotiation experience. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees and further experience in deal strategy, contractual negotiations, and business-to-business (B2B) commercial sales. Proven track record dealing with C-Level executives is essential.
Compensation & Application
The typical base pay range across the U.S. is from USD 107,600 to 187,500 per year, with specific locations such as the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area offering higher ranges. Microsoft will accept applications until October 14, 2025.
