We are seeking a Cloud Solution Architect - Copilot, specializing in AI solutions, who is passionate about guiding our customers’ AI transformation journey with Copilot Chat, Agents, and M365 Copilot. This customer-facing role acts as a strategic trusted advisor and technical subject matter expert, driving AI adoption and change management by demonstrating clear business value and ROI.

This position offers flexibility, allowing you to work up to 50% or even 100% from home.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted advisor and drive business value through AI Transformation: Create tangible business value by translating complex customer challenges into actionable solutions that align with high ROI customer outcomes. Ensure a seamless, connected experience that fosters satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term value.
  • Drive Customer Success: Lead architectural design discussions, engaging with both business and technical decision makers to build intent and enable sustained usage of Copilot Chat, Agents, and M365 Copilot, ensuring long-term customer success and renewal.
  • Leverage Agentic AI: Apply your expertise in Copilot prompt engineering and Agent-building to drive AI adoption and innovation at scale.
  • Explore growth opportunities: Collaborate with technical and sales teams to proactively identify new opportunities and develop tailored solutions that drive expansion and realize significant business value for customers.
  • Accelerate Customer AI Transformation Journey: Actively participate in relevant communities to share expertise, contribute to intellectual property (IP) creation, prioritize IP re-use, and continuously learn from others to further accelerate your customer’s AI transformation journey.
  • Embrace a growth mindset: Act as the voice of the customer by proactively sharing insights, feedback, and success stories to inform and influence internal strategy and execution.
  • Learn-it-all: Demonstrate a continuous, self-directed learning approach in areas such as Copilot Chat, Agents, M365 Copilot, business value realization, and adoption and change management. Build and maintain technical readiness aligned to Customer Success Unit (CSU) priorities and corporate initiatives.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or a related field AND 4+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting; OR equivalent experience.

  • Microsoft is unable to sponsor a work visa for this role due to the nature of the job duties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or a related field AND 8+ years experience in client/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting; OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting; OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • 4+ years experience working on technical projects.
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).

 

Core Copilot Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365: Deep understanding of architecture and capabilities across Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote; proficiency in prompting patterns, grounding, limitations, responsible usage; conceptual understanding of Copilot extensibility (Graph grounding, plugins, connectors).
  • Copilot Deployment & Readiness: Expertise in tenant readiness assessment for Copilot adoption; knowledge of licensing requirements and prerequisites; ability to identify blockers related to identity, data exposure, and security; understanding of Copilot adoption and value scenarios aligned to business roles.

 

AI & LLM Fundamentals

  • Large Language Model (LLM) concepts (tokens, grounding, hallucinations).
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts as applied in M365.
  • Responsible AI principles in enterprise scenarios.

 

Microsoft Graph & Data Access

  • Microsoft Graph fundamentals: How Copilot uses Graph to access and ground data; permissions model and access boundaries; Graph connectors (conceptual understanding).
  • Data Visibility & Permissions: Impact of over-permissioning on Copilot responses; role of identity and access in AI responses.

 

Security, Compliance & Governance

  • Microsoft Purview: Sensitivity labels and labeling inheritance; Data Loss Prevention (DLP); Retention and records management basics; eDiscovery (Standard/Premium) concepts.
  • Entra ID (Azure AD): Identity and access fundamentals; Conditional Access; Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
  • Information Protection: Preventing data oversharing in Copilot scenarios; governance best practices for AI-enabled tenants.

 

Automation & Extensibility

  • Power Platform: Power Automate (Copilot-triggered and AI-assisted flows); Power Apps (Copilot-assisted app creation concepts); Dataverse fundamentals.
  • Copilot Studio: Building and configuring custom copilots; topics, triggers, data sources, and security boundaries.
