Overview
The Cloud Solution Architect - Cloud & AI Data Platform role at Microsoft is customer facing. In this position, you will support customers in building secure, scalable, and AI-ready solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will help organizations modernize their data and AI journey while ensuring performance, resiliency, and security.
Responsibilities
Business Impact: Guide architectural design sessions, proof-of-concept initiatives, and production deployments for mission-critical workloads. Collaborate with Microsoft teams and customer/partner groups while conforming to operational excellence and compliance standards. Identify business and technical risks, and contribute to strategic feedback that refines execution frameworks.
Customer Centricity: Focus on seamless customer and partner experiences. Understand and translate customer goals into modernized solutions while building trust with technical decision makers. Provide insights to improve customer satisfaction and feedback on technical and business outcomes.
Partner Specialization: Engage with partners to develop offerings and support customers from initial implementations through technical enablement and sales support. Help unblock technical challenges and accelerate solution deployments.
Technical Leadership: Leverage deep industry knowledge and Microsoft’s architectural frameworks to guide internal teams and external audiences. Mentor peers and contribute to community events while promoting scalable and repeatable models.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related fields, and hands-on experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies including data engineering, data warehousing, analytics, or machine learning. Experience with Azure Data & AI services (Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Azure ML, Azure Storage, Fabric) is essential.
Preferred qualifications include customer-facing experience, technical project experience, and relevant certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, DP-300, AI-900).
