As an Account Executive, you will help develop and oversee the execution of account plans for multiple accounts and work to ensure engagements yield high volume sales for both Microsoft and the customers that are on track with goals, budgets and forecasts. This opportunity will allow you to understand customer drivers of digital transformation and leverages understanding to engage internal teams to accelerate the customer's digital transformation and strategy. You will help cultivate relationships and use Microsoft sales strategies throughout multiple levels of the customer's organization to establish strong alignment on long-term goals and secure buy-in and execution.

We are currently looking for Account Executives to join our teams across various business groups, for varying customer sizes, in our enterprise, regulated, and partner services organizations. By applying to this role, you will be considered for multiple opportunities within Microsoft across the United States including locations beyond where the role is posted. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home. Travel percentages will vary according to role.

Responsibilities

  • You will build connections with executives and business and technical decision makers through consultative engagement in the assigned accounts to establish trust and credibility in future interactions.
  • You will liaise with customers during interactions, focus on consistently addressing their technical and business needs, explain technical concepts relevant to the customer, and connect the customer to Microsoft executives as well as leverage selling methods to network and create a pipeline, consume account-based marketing outputs and reflect the engagement strategy in our customer plan.
  • You will manage and execute plans utilizing common sales and delivery methodology for the Microsoft sales organization for multiple accounts to ensure Microsoft targets and customer business needs are met and help coordinate with extended virtual teams and holds self and the team accountable for executing on plans and meeting customer needs. You'll also outline revenue targets to deliver on account plans.
  • You will seek feedback from customers of assigned accounts to identify and understand the drivers of satisfaction and establishe action plans to improve their overall experience and leverage internal resources to support customer needs.
  • You will learn about the business of assigned accounts and intricacies of their industry, of Microsoft's position in the industry and of direct competitors as well as coordinate with internal industry experts to gather industry data of assigned accounts and improve planning.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 1+ year(s) of experience working in a relevant industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education) and/or driving digital transformation OR a Master's Degree in Business Administration OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements

  • Microsoft is unable to sponsor a work visa for this role due to the nature of the role’s job duties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 8+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology) OR Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 6+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology).
  • 3+ years account management experience OR equivalent.
  • 3+ years experience making recommendations to and/or collaborating with mid-to-senior level executives.
  • 3+ years experience closing large, complex agreements/deals.
  • Azure Certifications and/or business value selling certifications preferred.

Salary Information

Account Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $87,000 - $148,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $113,400 - $164,000 per year.

Account Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $107,600 - $187,500 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,600 - $205,600 per year.

This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
