Overview
The Staff Systems Engineer, DA HPC at Micron Technology is responsible for providing day-to-day technology direction in the area of Storage and Linux environments. This is an operational role focused on ensuring regulatory and license compliance, global collaboration, and high performance of storage infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily technology direction for storage and Linux environments
- Collaborate globally with HPC team members
- Manage incident and problem management
- Execute projects and drive innovation
- Monitor and tune storage infrastructure performance and availability
- Deploy new storage devices and develop monitoring tools
- Evaluate and implement new storage technologies
- Work closely with Linux, LSF, and other HPC technology specialists
- Ensure architectural consistency and produce documentation
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience with enterprise grade NetApp and Isilon clusters
- Strong knowledge on storage technologies and architectures
- Experience in distributed file systems and performance analysis
- Solid Linux administration skills
- Familiarity with VMWare and job management platforms is a plus
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Background in semiconductor and HPC environments is an asset
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
