About the Video Editor Annotator Role

Join our customer's team as a Video Editor Annotator at micro1. In this remote, part-time or full-time (contract) position, your keen eye for detail and mastery of editing will play a pivotal role in evaluating and enhancing video content.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess video editing projects for technical accuracy and creative execution.
• Analyze initial and output videos to verify adherence to the editing brief.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback on editing quality, storytelling, and visual impact.
• Collaborate with team members using effective written and verbal communication.
• Leverage advanced editing techniques to evaluate project effectiveness.
• Utilize expertise in video and photo editing for comprehensive evaluations.
• Maintain high standards of quality and consistency across multiple projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional video editor.
• Expert-level proficiency with industry-standard video editing software.
• Strong understanding of editing workflows, color grading, and sound design.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to evaluate both technical and creative outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for providing actionable feedback.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment managing multiple evaluations.
• Familiarity with photo editing tools is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in evaluating or critiquing video editing work for educational, production, or review purposes.
• Background in film, media, or a related field.
• Portfolio showcasing high-quality editing projects and evaluation experience.
