Your Role as a Strategic Project Lead
As a Strategic Project Lead (SPL), you will serve as the primary point of contact for our key AI Lab clients. Your responsibilities include managing a team of PhDs and Professors dedicated to training frontier AI models, with a particular emphasis on domain-specific experts in fields like Software Development, Healthcare, Legal, and Finance. You are expected to uphold the highest standards in data integrity, scalability, and quality. This involves overseeing the design and execution of workflows that structure, optimize, and manage large-scale data pipelines. Success in this role demands a strong analytical mindset, deep technical expertise, and the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that directly contribute to AI model development and performance.
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end projects, ensuring utmost satisfaction for top AI Lab clients.
- Manage complex, domain-specific data pipelines, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Lead teams of Human Data Managers and Leads who review the work of subject-matter experts across various domains including Coding, Healthcare, Legal, and Finance.
- Engage directly with top AI Labs on high-impact projects.
- Collaborate with Human Data Engineers to define, track, and optimize Key Performance Indicators across expert-driven workflows.
- Deliver executive-level insights and updates on critical projects, data performance, and operational impact.
- Report directly to the CEO and Head of Human Data.
What We’re Looking For
- Exceptional soft skills and a proven ability to manage stakeholders, especially senior domain experts.
- A strong willingness to work long hours, including weekends, within a demanding startup environment.
- A robust startup and entrepreneurial mindset.
- A background in data operations, engineering, computer science, or significant exposure to domains such as Coding, Healthcare, Legal, or Finance.
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role driving operational processes, managing large-scale or domain-heavy data projects, or optimizing complex workflows.
- A passion for building initiatives from the ground up, identifying inefficiencies, and rapidly implementing solutions in high-stakes environments.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary for this full-time position ranges from $150,000 to $230,000 USD. micro1 is committed to attracting exceptional talent globally and provides competitive compensation packages. All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and performance-based bonuses may also be offered based on role and company policies.
