About the role
Software Engineer, New Grad (Zara)
micro1 is seeking early-career Software Engineers for a full-time, remote role to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to grow quickly by building real products and contributing to core product features end-to-end. You will primarily work on improving Zara, our AI Recruiter agent, and will be mentored by experienced engineers.
What You’ll Work On
- Contribute to the design and development of fullstack systems powering core product workflows.
- Build backend services and APIs with guidance, focusing on clean, maintainable code.
- Develop user-facing features and interfaces that ship directly to real users.
- Support data modeling efforts and learn best practices for database performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to turn ideas into working features.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of engineering quality.

What We’re Looking For
- Recent graduate (or graduating soon) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience through internships, academic projects, or personal projects.
- Solid fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React (or similar).
- Familiarity with backend development (Node.js).
- Exposure to databases (PostgreSQL or similar) and general data modeling concepts.
- Understanding of how APIs work and how applications communicate.
- Curiosity, strong willingness to learn, and attention to detail.
