Job Summary - VP of Research

As the VP of Research at micro1, you will lead three cutting-edge labs: RL Environments, RL in Robotics, and Human Data Research. You will drive internal R&D as well as collaborations with top AI labs.

What You'll Do

  • Define and execute the company’s long-term research vision.
  • Build and lead world-class research teams across multiple domains.
  • Partner with leading AI labs, universities, and industry collaborators.
  • Translate research breakthroughs into product and business impact.
  • Represent the company in top research and industry forums.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience in building and scaling research organizations.
  • Strong presence in the AI research community including publications and collaborations.
  • Ability to balance scientific exploration with business strategy.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presence.
  • PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to Have

  • Expertise in RL environments, RLHF, or Robotics.
