Join micro1's team as a Editor Expert. This remote, part-time or full-time contract position focuses on evaluating and enhancing video content with precision and creativity.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and assess video projects for technical accuracy and creative execution.
• Analyze both initial and output videos against the editing brief.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback on quality, storytelling, and visual impact.
• Collaborate with team members using effective communication.
• Leverage advanced editing techniques to assess effectiveness.
• Evaluate photo editing where applicable for comprehensive reviews.
• Maintain high standards of quality and consistency across projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proven professional experience as a video editor, expert-level proficiency with industry-standard software, deep understanding of editing workflows, color grading, sound design, exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. Familiarity with photo editing tools is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in critiquing video editing work for educational or production purposes.
• Background in film, media, or a related field.
• A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality projects and evaluations.
