Job Description

As an IT Operations Manager, you will be responsible for a range of critical activities, including:

• Overseeing project delivery activities such as planning, execution, and technical reviews.
• Managing project budgets and allocating hardware, software, and manpower resources effectively.
• Coordinating resource turnover, replacement, and ensuring project timelines and costs remain on track.
• Engaging in pre-sales and post-sales support, gathering user requirements, and participating in technical discussions.
• Preparing high-level solution designs, proposals, cost estimations, timelines, and resource plans.
• Leading vendor and subcontractor coordination to ensure smooth implementation of assigned projects.
• Maintaining and updating internal systems, including the creation, modification, and removal of portal entries.
• Producing key project documentation such as project plans, SOWs, milestone schedules, progress updates, and meeting minutes.
• Providing technical advisory and troubleshooting for UNIX/Linux/Windows platforms within BAU and delegated client projects.

The Successful Applicant

To excel in this IT Operations Manager role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a similar field.
• Over 10 years of experience in the IT field, preferably in operations or project-based environments.
• A strong understanding of system release and deployment processes is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of working independently.
• Familiarity with the end-to-end IT project lifecycle, vendor engagement, and contract handling.
• Project management certification is considered a plus.
• Proficiency in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin is required.
• Strong team player with analytical and problem-solving abilities; candidates with less experience may be considered for Assistant Operations Manager.
