Job Description

Fiscal Compliance Specialist

This role is with a prominent company in the Financial sector, actively seeking a Fiscal Compliance Specialist.

The successful candidate will join a financial sector company.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for external legal and tax consultants in each country, managing collaboration and coordinating both the fiscal regulatory development (and to a lesser extent, legal development) for new countries, and the regulatory maintenance for existing operational countries. This ensures quality, consistency, and updated fiscal regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Product team, based on input from external consultants, to translate regulatory requirements into clear, structured, and actionable information for the Product, Engineering, and QA teams.
  • Consolidate, structure, and document regulatory requirements, defining a clear methodology to efficiently transfer them to Product, Engineering, and QA.
  • Participate in the drafting, review, and validation of the company's internal and external documentation related to regulations: processes, regulatory materials, specifications, website, Help Center, and communications to merchants and partners.
  • Ensure that product adaptation (configurations, messages, functionalities, and documentation) accurately reflects the regulatory obligations of each country.
  • Provide legal and fiscal-operational support to the Product, QA, and Support teams, resolving queries about regulations, legal interpretations, and their practical application.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes for operational compliance, documentation, and regulatory coordination within the company.

Candidate Profile

  • Solid education or experience in Law, taxation, compliance, or regulations applicable to technology or e-commerce companies.
  • Advanced ability to read, interpret, and synthesize complex legal texts.
  • Knowledge of the European regulatory framework or experience working with multi-territorial regulation.
  • Ability to convert legal and fiscal requirements into clear and actionable tasks for technical teams.
  • Capacity to collaborate with multiple teams (Product, Engineering, QA, Support, external Compliance/Legal).
  • Experience in drafting legal or regulatory documentation with clarity and precision.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency (minimum C1) in English and Spanish. At least one of these three languages must be native. Other EU languages are valued.
  • Organization, attention to detail, and rigor in processes with legal impact.
Highly Valued Experience
  • Knowledge of taxation applied to retail, POS, or e-commerce.
  • Experience with regulations such as NF525, TicketBAI, SII, SAF-T, or other national fiscal rules.
  • Experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory operations departments.
