Job Description
New Customer Acquisition & New Business:
You identify target customers, actively approach decision-makers, and systematically build a strong pipeline in the B2B environment.
Business Development With Existing Customers:
You manage selected customers, recognize additional needs, and strategically place upselling and cross-selling solutions.
Relationship Building at Decision-Maker Level:
You navigate confidently at C-level (CIO, CTO, CDO & Management), understand their challenges, and translate our solutions into clear business value.
Active Market Observation & Business Opportunities:
You follow trends in the IT/software sector, monitor competitors, and identify new use cases, industries, and target segments.
Offer Management & Collaboration With PreSales & Consulting:
You orchestrate the entire sales process: from discovery to demo/workshops to offer creation - closely integrated with PreSales, Consulting & Delivery.
Contract Negotiation & Closing:
You conduct negotiations in a structured and goal-oriented manner - from commercial setup to contract signing. Your goal: not just to initiate deals, but to close them.
High Customer Proximity:
You are on-site with clients, at trade fairs, events, and industry gatherings - where decisions are made and relationships are formed. Your daily work is less in the home office and more in direct contact with people.
The Successful Applicant
- Several years of experience in IT/software sales: Ideally in a B2B environment (e.g., software, SaaS, IT services, cloud, digitization).
- Demonstrable success in Hunter/New Business Sales: You know the feeling when a pipeline is not just 'felt' good, but actually good - and you can prove your successes.
- Strong drive for customer acquisition & closing orientation: You enjoy hunting rather than managing, open doors in 'cold' accounts, and bring deals to a close with focus.
- Basic technical understanding: You don't have to be a developer, but you understand complex IT/software solutions, can classify them, and speak at eye level with our technical departments.
- Independent, goal-oriented way of working: You can structure your week to be present with customers, maintain your pipeline, and keep your goals in sight - without micromanagement.
- Language skills: Very good German skills (min. C1, & native) and good to very good English skills for international contacts and documents.
