This is not just another recruiting role. This is your chance to:

If you are energized by the idea of shaping a workforce that will design the future, we want to meet you!
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner on our team, you will operate as a trusted advisor, driving the full-cycle recruitment and hiring strategy for mid to senior-level roles across the enterprise. You will:
Lead End-to-End Recruiting for Technical & Engineering Roles
- Own the full cycle recruiting for engineering, technical, and corporate roles across our nationwide operations.
- Partner directly with hiring managers to define their talent needs further, to craft ideal candidate profiles and personas, and to build data-backed sourcing strategies.
- Screen, assess, and present highly qualified outbound-sourced, passive candidates
Drive Strategic Sourcing & Talent Pipeline Development
- Build robust, warm, and qualified talent pipelines and pools using LinkedIn Recruiter, ATS/CRM tools, HireEZ, Handshake, and other available platforms to identify and engage with top passive talent.
- Leverage your industry knowledge to forecast sourcing/hiring needs and proactively support future workforce planning.
Influence Hiring Decisions Through Expertise
- Advise hiring managers on HR/TA process and policy, compensation, labor market and competitor trends, competitive intelligence, and candidate motivations.
- Support equitable and compliant hiring processes in alignment with OFCCP and federal contracting standards.
Promote Our Brand & Mission
- Represent Michael Baker at career fairs, industry events, universities, and professional associations as needed.
- Elevate the candidate experience by ensuring a seamless, respectful, and high-touch recruitment journey.
Shape Our Future Talent Strategy
- Partner with TA leadership to optimize processes, innovate sourcing methods, and continuously strengthen and improve recruiting metrics.
- Champion our 2026 strategic direction as we expand into digital consulting, advanced technology, data-driven design, and next-generation infrastructure solutions.
What Sets You Apart
You are a senior-level recruiter who knows the technical talent landscape, and ideally, the civil engineering industry, like the back of your hand. You combine strong people instincts with an analytical mindset and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
What You’ll Bring
- A minimum of 7+ years relevant full-cycle recruiting experience in technical recruiting (prior experience recruiting in the civil engineering space is strongly preferred in addition to technical!)
- Proven success in recruiting, closing, and onboarding passive managers, engineers, PMs, technical specialists, and corporate hires.
- A solid understanding of civil engineering disciplines and practices, common industry roles and their requirements, and market dynamics and challenges.
- Strong data integrity and daily use of prior ATS platforms (Workday, iCIMS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and sourcing tech such as HireEZ and Handshake. Experience with Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC) is a huge plus!
- Strong relationship-building, communication, organization, presentation, and prioritization skills.
- Experience supporting federal contracting recruitment and OFCCP compliance.
- A data-informed approach to performance and process improvement.
- Passion for matching exceptional talent with meaningful work that makes a difference!
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Relevant equivalent professional experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Work Environment
Fully remote, with occasional minimal travel as needed for hiring events, interviews, or team meetings.
A collaborative, innovative, and driven culture that is committed to Making a Difference!
