Sales Manager - MHG Hotels

MHG Hotels is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our proactive sales efforts. This role is crucial in driving revenue generation across various market segments, maximizing hotel profitability, and maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for exceeding revenue goals, including RGI and total hotel revenue expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop sales efforts for group business, leisure market, and SMERF segments.
  • Oversee advertising and promotional initiatives to drive revenue.
  • Maximize hotel profitability while ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Meet or exceed pre-determined booking goals for guest room revenue.
  • Negotiate function details within established guidelines to maintain overall revenue goals.
  • Handle inquiry calls promptly and manage the flow of paperwork for function details.
  • Solicit new and repeat guest room and event business, maintaining key client accounts.
  • Conduct outside sales calls and phone solicitations.
  • Perform on-site inspections to secure business.
  • Evaluate potential business opportunities for profitability and benefit to the hotel.
  • Represent the hotel in community and industry events.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, databases, and reports.
  • Achieve budgeted revenues and expenses for the sales department.
  • Analyze STR reports and other key industry metrics.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in advertising and promotional activities.

Qualifications:

  • A professional demeanor with a warm, welcoming, and engaging personality.
  • Ability to connect easily and actively with others from diverse backgrounds and all organizational levels.
  • Excellent selling skills and knowledge of group, SMERF, sports, FIT, and leisure segments.
  • Two or more years of hotel experience required.
