What You’ll Do
The Manager, Academic Transformation leads complex, client-facing projects within the Academic Transformation practice, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, data-driven solutions that meet client goals and contractual commitments. This role is responsible for day-to-day project execution, coaching and developing project team members, and building trusted client relationships. The Manager plays a critical role in translating strategy into execution while advancing student-focused outcomes, equity-driven practices, and strong team performance.
Project & Engagement Management
- Lead the planning and execution of complex academic transformation projects, ensuring adherence to scope, quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
- Manage day-to-day project operations, including work planning, task coordination, risk identification, and issue resolution.
- Ensure deliverables are analytically rigorous, clearly communicated, and aligned to client goals and contractual requirements.
Client Relationship & Advisory Support
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on project execution matters.
- Build and sustain client trust through clear communication, data-informed recommendations, and responsive problem-solving.
- Facilitate working sessions, presentations, and stakeholder meetings to support client decision-making and implementation.
Team Leadership & Coaching
- Coach, mentor, and support project team members through clear expectations, actionable feedback, and guided work planning.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across project teams.
- Support performance management and professional development of consultants and senior consultants.
Data-Driven & Equity-Focused Execution
- Apply analytical and data-driven approaches to assess academic performance, identify disparities, and inform recommendations.
- Embed equity-focused strategies and student-centered outcomes into project plans, analyses, and deliverables.
- Translate complex data and findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations for diverse audiences.
Adaptability & Continuous Improvement
- Navigate ambiguity and evolving client needs with adaptability and solution-oriented thinking.
- Proactively identify challenges and adjust project approaches as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
- Contribute to practice-level knowledge sharing, tools, and continuous improvement efforts.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in education, public policy, data analytics, or a related field preferred.
- Six (6) or more years of relevant experience in education, consulting, academic transformation, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, client-facing projects.

Travel
Ability to travel nationally as required – estimated 20%
